This is to announce that North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon has partnered with Spoken tutorials, IIT Bombay which is an NMEICT (www.sakshat.ac.in), MHRD, Govt. of India initiative to enhance the skill set of our students both UG and PG to promote and enable this ICT effort in the constituents. ST is an award winning MOOCs (from Google), running a successful IT training program in India since the past 5 years.
Training is offered on Free and Open Source Software (FOSS), like Linux, FOSS are non – commercial as well for many FOSS, there is no commercial equivalent (C, Java etc.). Exotic and lucrative courses like Python, Perl, BASH, GIMP, Blender for multimedia, can be learned effectively through Spoken Tutorials.
The courses are useful for both jobs (Skill focus courses) and academics (syllabus focus courses). The program is funded by NMEICT – www.sakshat.ac.in – MHRD Govt. of India. Hence, the courses, training, day to day guidance and certificates are all completely FREE of COST for life time.
Till date, more than 35 lakh students have been trained nationwide. Over 115 affiliating universities have partnered formally with ST. FOSS in e-governance in many states are going for Open Source Software, hence knowledge and skills in these will help with Govt. employment.
Principals are encouraged to introduce the program in their colleges by appointing a coordinator from the college who will work with ST team. The training is on campus and can be accommodated in Computer Lab hours.
The coordinator will :
- Register / create a login ID and become a authorized member of the program

- For courses suiting learning during computer practical hours, the Spoken Tutorial team will recommend the suitable Spoken Tutorial software course to help in selection.
