Aims and Objectives

The Department will look into the Image building of the university.
To cultivate and develop the Sense of Responsibility and values in the minds of Students to be the agents of change in the Music of different fields.
To develop the skills required for Understanding principles of Music
To develop performance skills of the Students.
To achieve the academic excellence in Indian classical Music.
To organize lecture series of well known Music personalities.
To educate the students to build and develop the Culture of peace.
To conduct examinations of different fields of Music i.e. Classical and Instrumental both for school and college students.
To strengthen the Auditorium and Studio as a regional performing centre.
To organize photo exhibition on folk Art and Local Religious Traditional of Music and screening films.
To provide training to students in the subject of Traditional Local Music and entrepreneurship development and create awareness on locally produced Performing Arts.
To establish the audio – visual centre.
To conduct the research Activities on above subject.
To conduct the various extension activities.
To organize seminars and workshops.
To conduct the various activities to propagate the Music programs.
