• To provide students with knowledge of both Indian and Western traditions of Philosophy.
• To encourage students to study closely the original texts of Indian and Western Philosophers.
• To spread knowledge of Philosophy and Logic to as many students as possible.

The Centenary year of Pratap Centre is round the comer (2015-2016). We are planning several activities like a national seminar in Philosophy, publication of a book relating the glorious past of 100 years, a short term courses on Yoga to commemorate the occasion and so on.

• We are shortly starting a yoga course for college students. It will be Short Certificate Course which would cover the basics of both practical and theoretical aspects of yoga.
• We plan the bring out a book depicting the remarkable past of our Centre, NMU’s Pratap Centre of Philosophy at Amalner on the occasion of the Centenary year 2015. The various illustrious individuals associated with our Centre, the special academic events that were arranged here and the record of our publications will be a part of this volume. It will be a record of the Centre’s achievements with suitable photographs.
