As per eligibility conditions, B.Sc. students are eligible to apply for the admission to M. Sc. in Microbiology, Biochemistry & Biotechnology.

- Criteria :
Selection is based entirely on candidate's percentage of marks obtained at the graduation, preferences given by the candidate and availability of the seats.
- Procedure :
For admission to all the three M.Sc. programs, an advertisement is published in some leading newspapers in the month of May / Jun
every year. The application procedure is online and centralized for all Post Graduate courses run on University campus. The admission procedure is quite transparent. Information brochure, provisional and final merit lists, schedule of admission, list of final allotments, etc. is displayed at University website as per schedule.

The School follows CGPA system for grading the PG students as per the University rules.
The School has adopted 60:40 pattern under which the internal examination is for 20+20 = 40 marks and of descriptive/subjective type, while the external examination will be of 60 marks (3 hours duration). There is a separate head of passing for internal and external examination.
For practical courses, there will be only one internal examination of 40 marks and one external examination for 60 marks.
For Ph. D. Program :
Good academic record at graduation and post-graduation level. The admission to Ph.D. program is as per University rules on the streak of UGC rules and regulation disposed from time to time. After joining, a number of research scholarships are available to the student during his/her Ph.D. work through research project grants and/or university fund. All the Ph.D. scholars of the School have been successful in achieving career opportunities in academia, industry and research institutes in India and abroad while quite a few are biotechnology entrepreneurs.
